Gov’t Mule recently released a video cartoon that accompanies Warren Haynes and the band’s cover of ZZ Top’s “Just Got Paid.” The song, available on Gov’t Mule’s current album, The Tel-Star Sessions, is part of the group’s demo tapes from 1994, featuring Mule co-founder Allen Woody, who died on Aug. 26, 2000. Originally recorded by ZZ Top in open E minor tuning, Haynes fretwork is just as amazing. Check it out.
