Musician Ryan Stephenson, the engineer for Brain Ape’s Auslander, has teamed up with the band’s frontman and founder, Minky Très-vain, for a project called Chapter XXIV. Co-written, produced and mixed by Stephenson, with co-writer Très-Vain on vocals, XXIV’s single “Forgive” has a certain David Bowie-King Crimson quality, which works remarkably well and is highly recommended. You can also add the band’s previous song release, “Blackwidow,” to the suggested listening list.
