LONDON-BASED SINGER-SONGWRITER MATT ADEY RELEASES ‘THE GIRL I SHOULD HAVE LOVED’

Matt Adey’s romanced vocals pull at the heart-strings, while setting a listener’s soul ablaze during “The Girl I Should Have Loved.”

A passion-felt ode about a lost relationship, the single, due for release on Oct. 1, 2018, was produced by music master Chris Potter (The Verve, Rolling Stones, U2, Keane) and features bandmates of the legendary Richard Ashcroft. The huge string parts lift the crescendo and an 808 drum machine, under a delicate piano, matches Ardey’s distinctive vocals, creating the perfect soundtrack, not only to life, but to the love scenes of any movie.

THE VIDEO TELLS THE STORY

The accompanying video for “The Girl I Should Have Loved,” premiering on Oct. 29, 2018, was filmed in aMatt Adey-jpg.com Victorian-era town hall near Glyndebourne, South England during summer 2018. The plot focuses on the story of a real couple who act antagonistically toward each other within this gorgeous space. The man explains to his first love, some 20 years later, that he made a mistake and that they should have remained together.
